CUET APPLICATION 2026

The National Testing Agency has officially started the CUET PG 2026 Application Correction Window which gives candidates a final opportunity to edit specific details in their submitted application forms. The correction facility went live on 28/January/2026 and will remain open until 30/January/2026 at 11:50 PM on the official website exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/. The Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate programmes is a national-level entrance exam for students to get admission into PG courses that are offered by Central Universities and other participating institutions. Since no corrections are allowed after the deadline the candidates are strongly advised to check their application carefully and make all the permitted changes within the correction period. Once the corrected form is finally submitted then no further editing will be allowed under any circumstances.

Why does the correction window matter?

The CUET PG 2026 Application Correction Window is a one-time facility that is provided by NTA to make sure that genuine mistakes that are made during the registration do not affect a candidate’s eligibility/exam process. Errors in category/date of birth/exam city preference/test paper selection can lead to serious issues during admit card generation or result processing. This correction window allows the candidates to update only those fields that are specifically permitted by NTA. Any incorrect/incomplete information that is left uncorrected may result in rejection of the application at later stages including counselling or admission.

Candidates can access the correction official portal: https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/ only through the official website. No offline or email-based corrections by the candidate are accepted in any circumstances.

Procedure for making corrections:

Candidates need to follow the steps that are stated below in order to make corrections in their application form:

Step 1: Click on the “CUET PG 2026 Application Correction Window” link after visiting the official CUET PG website at https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/.
Step 2: Register using your application number along with the password – Check all the details carefully that are on the application dashboard before proceeding.
Step 3: Only make changes to the fields that can be corrected and check the updated information before the final submission.
Step 4: If the correction results in a fee increase pay the additional amount online before the submission of the corrected form and then download the revised confirmation page.

Important Notes on Correction Window:

The corrections are allowed only once and after the final submission the form will be permanently locked. No refund will be provided if the test papers/subjects are reduced. And an additional fee must be paid immediately if the correction increases the payable amount. Exam city preferences can now be updated by candidates who paid the fee by 19/December/2025 at the latest. Candidates should be aware that after 30/January/2026 at 11:50 PM no requests for corrections will be accepted.

What Happens After the Correction Window is Shut Down?

Once the CUET PG 2026 application correction window closes the NTA will freeze all the application data and admit cards will be issued strictly based on the final corrected details. Candidates are advised to double-check spellings/category status/test paper codes and exam city preferences before the final submission as any issues or errors discovered later will not be corrected even if the candidate approaches NTA.

Avoid these candidate mistakes:

Many candidates make avoidable mistakes during the correction process such as submitting corrections without reviewing all fields. Some wait until the last few hours to make changes which can cause problems due to the server issue. Another common mistake is assuming that non-permitted fields like photo or signature can be changed which is not allowed. The candidate also forgot to download the revised confirmation page after correction which is important for future reference.
